Mercado Global

This has been an exciting week at Mercado Global with our new Design a Difference Fellow, Cecilia Bien, in the office! A seasoned traveler and designer, Cecilia joins us from RRL, a line of Ralph Lauren.  Like many of our supporters she was originally drawn to Mercado Global’s artisan work, and believes that it is important to celebrate traditional craftsmanship and its heritage.

Working on our accessories line, Cecilia has been working with our artisans on technical training programs.  With her support, Mercado Global will be soon launching a new line of covers for kindles, ipads, and laptops. Stay tuned for Cecilia’s blog later this month!
